STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM NOW WE'RE...IN A TRAILER
Truth be told, we started this company in our basement back in Niagara. And we're proud of that.
After a successful first couple of years, we were looking to move somewhere different. Somewhere that suited our lifestyle a bit more. So, we packed up our shit, moved to Squamish, B.C., bought a trailer, converted it into a coffee roastery and here we are!
We could give you a highly cliched story about how we got into speciality coffee, and our journey to making Crossbone Coffee become a reality in the first place - but we'll save you those teary-eyed details, and just tell you that we couldn't be happier with the adventure we're on!
WHY WE DO IT
We made this for you, the new age coffee drinker who can appreciate a quality cup of coffee. A cup that doesn't taste like it was roasted 4 months ago. A cup that wasn't roasted so deep that you have to pour in 3 sugar packs just to get any decent flavour. A cup that has the ability to not only slam you with natural flavour but also rip you back up off the floor after a heavy night of pretending to be cool.
MICRO-ROASTER
Crossbone Coffee roasts in small batches at a time. This is key to keeping a consistent and quality flavour with every roast we do. With the big daddy, commercial roasters this is where the quality can sometimes get lost. They are roasting massive amounts at a time so the care needed for each roast tends to be put to the way side.
WE REALLY DIG THIS
From sourcing beans, trying different blends, coming up with nifty names - we love what we do. Once the orders are in, the trailer gets opened, the roaster gets fired up, we toss on our favourite Venga Boys track and we get down to business.
